GapFill.org connects donors with items needed by Christian missionaries. GapFill.org is an online tool that allows missionaries to post specific items or project needs. Donors can then come to GapFill.org and choose to buy (or donate towards) a particular item or project for a specific missionary. There’s no question where your money is going and there’s no long-term commitment that has to be made. Once a donor purchases a needed item, GapFill will obtain this item and send (if needed) this item directly to the missionary.
About Us
GapFill.org was founded in 2009 in response to over 30 years of “filling in the gap” for Christian missionaries in need. GapFill.org is a true grass-roots 501(c)3 nonprofit that is still “growing its roots”. The founders, Bill and Joyce, have been involved with missionary projects and sending items to needed missionaries for over 30 years. Items and projects have ranged from helping to build a steel bridge in Papua New Guinea, to new shoes for missionary children. However, most of the items were everything in between including equipping over a dozen schools with chalkboards and supplies, new computers and hard drives for missionaries, and solar tablets for native Bible translation workers. Sending needed items to missionaries was a small way to “fill in the gap” to keep mission work moving forward.
Currently, GapFill has grown to where the needs are greater than Joyce and Bill are able to do on their own, which is where you come in. GapFill connects donors with items needed from missionaries, just one small way to “fill in the gap”. GapFill believes that these Christian missionaries are the "hands and feet" of Jesus and are living examples of Isaiah 52:7, “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!” (NLT)
If you also have a passion for Christian mission work, we would love for you to partner with us as we help support these Christian messengers. Review the "Current Needs" link at the top of this website. Needs are changing all the time.
Thanks in advance for helping us “further God’s work….one gap at a time”.
P.S. The Turners were awarded the 2019 United States of America President's Volunteer Bronze Service Award for GapFill.org, which included a grant from the UPS Foundation. The entire grant went to help fund current and future projects. A win-win for everyone!
Our Mission, Vision & Core Values
Our Mission
GapFill.org engages donors in Christian mission work by giving them a simple, accountable and personal way to address the needs of Christian missionaries which help further God's work one project (or gap) at a time.
Our Vision
To create the leading online platform connecting donors with the global needs of Christian missionaries.
We are Christian
We acknowledge one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In Jesus the love, mercy and grace of God are made known to us and all people.
We seek to follow Jesus — in His love for all people without discrimination or conditions. We have a true oneness of mind with our missionaries that God’s name be glorified throughout the world and that Jesus Christ be universally recognized as God’s gift to all humanity.
We are Stewards
The resources at our disposal are not our own. They are a trust from God through donors on behalf of the missionaries. We speak and act honestly. We are open and factual in our dealings with donors, projects and the public at large.
We demand of ourselves high standards of professional competence and financial accountability.
We are Partners
We are partners with the missionaries and with donors in a shared ministry. We pursue relationships with all Christian churches and desire mutual participation in ministry.
Statement of Faith
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, Maker of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven: and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic (universal) and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
